As I mentioned in the post, of course RSS is extensible. The point is, once a standard Is adopted at scale, any extensions to the original standard don’t really gain the benefits of the distribution of the standard unless everyone adopts the extensions, which is extremely challenging when you have so many diverging stakeholders and agendas. That is the paradox.
